Internship, Data Operations (Kuala Lumpur) [Oct'26 Intake]

We are thrilled to announce an internship opportunity for Data Operations!

This role is designed for individuals passionate about data analytics, data management, and digital tools. It offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience in procurement and data governance by supporting master data quality initiatives, leveraging AI tools, and transforming data into meaningful business insights.

Key Areas of Exposure During Your Internship with Us Include:

• Master Data Management & Data Cleansing – Assist in cleansing, standardising, and maintaining item master data using Microsoft Excel and Power Query to improve data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• AI-Enabled Data Management – Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude to support item classification, description standardisation, and duplicate detection, while validating AI-generated outputs to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Data Analysis & Quality Monitoring – Analyse master data quality, identify duplicate records, and examine spending trends to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Data Visualisation & Reporting – Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to translate data into actionable insights that support procurement operations and business performance.
• Procurement & Data Governance Exposure – Gain practical experience in procurement processes, master data governance, and the application of digital and AI tools to address real-world business challenges, with guidance from the Procurement Master Data team.

Criteria for The Ideal Intern:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Familiarity with Power Query for data extraction, transformation, and cleansing.
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand data structures, relationships, and business data logic.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude, or a strong willingness to learn and apply them responsibly.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to critically evaluate data and validate AI-generated results.
• Positive attitude, with good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate with others.

We welcome undergraduate or postgraduate students available to start their internship for a minimum of 10 weeks to apply for this exciting opportunity.
