Job Profile Summary

We have an internship opening in the following department.

 

ING Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

 

What will you be doing? 

 

You will be working with the FM Business Management (FMBM) team to support governance, risk oversight and business management activities across Asia Pacific region.

  • Support FM governance, risk oversight and BM activities across the region.
  • Prepare management information, dashboards, presentations and reports for senior management, governance forums and business reviews.
  • Produce and enhance conduct risk, front office supervision and business performance reporting through data analysis, trend identification, data validation and reporting automation.
  • Partner with Sales and Trading teams across APAC to collect, validate, analyse and consolidate business information and reporting inputs.
  • Contribute to reporting enhancements and process improvement initiatives to strengthen automation, efficiency and data quality.
  • Participate in business management projects and ad hoc initiatives supporting FM governance, risk and control objectives.
  • Gain firsthand exposure to FM through regular interaction with Sales and Trading professionals. Interns may have opportunities to participate in desk shadowing sessions to learn about front office activities, financial products, client engagement and trading operations, while exploring potential career paths within FM.

 
What qualities and skills are we looking for?
 


We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:  


  • Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accountancy, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
  • Previous internship experience in Banking would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with VBA, macros, Power BI is preferred.
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills, with the ability to analyse, interpret and present data clearly and effectively.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in financial markets, governance, conduct risk and business management.
  • Curious, proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks and projects.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
