Job Description

As a Growth Ventures Intern, you will support strategic growth initiatives across the Umdasch Group. Your work will focus on market intelligence, company scouting for M&A opportunities, and early-stage deal support across selected growth areas within the built environment and construction technology sectors.

This role offers hands-on exposure to corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, corporate venturing, innovation ecosystems, and growth initiatives. You will work closely with experienced professionals while contributing directly to ongoing strategic projects and opportunity assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support outreach initiatives, meeting preparation, and follow-up activities with external partners
  • Conduct structured market and sector research on construction technology, built-environment innovation, and selected growth areas
  • Support startup scouting, target identification, and opportunity mapping
  • Prepare presentations, research summaries, and management materials for internal stakeholders
  • Map the external innovation ecosystem, including accelerators, venture funds, brokers, startup platforms, industry networks, and academic institutions
  • Monitor industry developments, market trends, and relevant startup and technology news
  • Support the evaluation of potential growth, partnership, investment, and acquisition opportunities
  • Assist in maintaining market intelligence databases and tracking strategic developments across target sectors
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal business cases, opportunity assessments, and strategic reviews

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong interest in growth strategy, M&A, venture capital, startups, technology trends, and innovation ecosystems
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into concise insights and recommendations
  • Experience using AI-powered tools for research, documentation, and analysis
  • Structured, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Students in their final year joining on a part-time basis alongside their studies
  • Recent graduates, who are available for a full-time internship experience

Requirements

  • Car and UAE drivers license required
  • Applicants must have a UAE residency visa (student visa/ family dependency) to be eligible to work in Dubai for the duration of the internship (minimum of 6 months)
