About the Role

The Day to Day:

In the Cybersecurity Intern role, you will support the Enterprise Cybersecurity team with security operations, compliance, threat investigation, vulnerability management, and project-based work. You will gain practical experience securing enterprise technology while helping improve cybersecurity processes, documentation, and controls.

• Assist with monitoring, investigating, and documenting real-world cybersecurity threats and alerts.

• Support threat-hunting activities to identify potential risks and suspicious activity.

• Contribute to vulnerability-management efforts, including reviewing findings, tracking remediation, and maintaining documentation.

• Assist with digital-forensics activities under the guidance of cybersecurity professionals.

• Support cybersecurity compliance and policy-management initiatives.

• Help troubleshoot cybersecurity software, tools, and related technical issues.

• Analyze information and document findings, recommendations, procedures, and project deliverables.

• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand cybersecurity needs and support organizational objectives.

• Contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities, and other cybersecurity projects based on business needs.

• Apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges and present project recommendations or deliverables at the conclusion of the internship.

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Interest in cybersecurity operations, threat analysis, digital forensics, vulnerability management, or information-security compliance.

• Foundational understanding of computer systems, networks, security principles, or related technologies.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, initiative, and follow-through.

• Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly and work both independently and collaboratively.

• Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., during the Summer 2027 internship period.
