About the Role

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Valuation Intern will support Lightshift Energy’s pricing and valuation activities. Working within the finance team, this role offers hands-on experience in project financial modeling, transaction diligence, and structured finance within the renewable energy sector.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support pricing needs across Lightshift’s investment portfolio;

• Collaborate with finance and analytics teams on project financial modeling and pricing analysis;

• Conduct fundamental analysis of company and portfolio-level cash flow, including financial modeling and returns analysis;

• Support tax equity/debt diligence;

• Create and maintain data rooms


LOCATION

• Lightshift’s Arlington, VA headquarters


COMPENSATION

• $3,500 - $4,000 monthly

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a BA/BS or graduate program (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field);

• Proficiency in Excel; with experience in complex financial modeling and project finance concepts;

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills;

• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills;

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and organization;

• Familiarity with Tax Equity, structured debt, and GAAP accounting preferred;

• CPA, CFA, or progress toward these designations is a plus
