About the Role

Clean Harbors Deer Park, TX (Houston, TX) is looking for Summer 2027 Interns to join our Industrial Services team supporting HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors. This opportunity is designed for students interested in gaining hands-on experience within Industrial Services while exploring a variety of career paths.

Based on experience, education, interests, and business needs, internship opportunities may include:

This is a full-time paid internship and is not eligible for remote work. Depending on the internship assignment, students may spend time in both office and field environments. As specific internship opportunities become available, applicants may be asked to submit an application for the individual internship role that best aligns with their experience, education, and interests.

Start Dates:

Start dates for our Summer 2027 Internship Program are May 17th or May 24th, 2027. Internships will run through the summer and end in August.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following all safe work practices, policies, and procedures;
  • Gain hands-on experience alongside HPC Industrial teams in both field and office environments;
  • Support projects, operations, technical work, or data collection based on internship assignment;
  • Participate in team meetings, safety discussions, project planning, and day-to-day operational activities;
  • Work alongside Project Managers, field teams, operations leaders, engineers, and chemists;
  • Participate in Clean Harbors Internship Program networking and professional development activities;
  • Complete and present a final internship project at the conclusion of the program.

Qualifications

What does it take to intern with Clean Harbors?

  • Currently pursuing a degree, certificate, or technical program in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Process Technology, Industrial Technology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Process Technology, Operations Management, Business Administration/Management, Human Resources or a related field at an accredited college, university, or technical school;
  • Strong interest in gaining hands-on experience within Industrial Services;
  • Willingness to learn in both office and field environments based on internship assignment;
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment with a willingness to learn and take initiative;
  • For field-based assignments, ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, which may include lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
