Job Description:
Help the Mayborn Museum build evaluation capacity! This position will support the Museum's ongoing efforts to systematically collect, analyze, and report on visitor experience data. The Mayborn aims to become a data-driven organization focused on their audiences while collaborating with other museums like Crystal Bridges, Great Lakes Science Center, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Space Center Houston, and more. This internship position will receive ongoing training in human subject research and data evaluation.
Oversee COVES (The Collaboration for Ongoing Visitor Experience Studies) Survey Project 90%
Assist with planning, set-up, and implementation of COVES (23 questions survey administered to museum visitors) survey
Spend 4 hours per week administering COVES survey to visitors at varied times throughout the week
Create reports from survey data to share with museum each month
Plan and facilitate volunteer trainings on administering COVES survey
Assist supervisor in evaluating effectiveness of COVES survey efforts
Other projects as assigned 10%
Other evaluation or market research projects as assigned.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an understanding of the different needs of our visitors
Excellent time management
Provide general office assistance and support
Greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information
Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information
Assist with various projects, activities or tasks as needed
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
