About the Role

Intern - Technical
(Based at Ayathi - Biyagama)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in pattern making activities and support the development of garment patterns as required.

  • Support customer fit evaluations by understanding and applying basic customer fitting requirements and standards.

  • Follow up on sample room processes and coordinate with sewing technicians to ensure timely sample development.

  • Prepare and maintain dispatch details and supporting documentation when sending sample packages to customers.

  • Assist in maintaining technical records, reports and related documentation to support day-to-day operations.

     

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Undergraduate or holder of a Degree or Diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Engineering, NDT or a related field.

  • Basic knowledge of pattern making, garment construction and customer fitting requirements.

  • Knowledge of Gerber or similar pattern-making software will be an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Good analytical, communication and negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
