As an Intern in the Global Public Affairs team, you will join a young, international team within Global Communications & External Affairs, based in Lyngby, Denmark. The team works closely with regional public affairs colleagues around the world to strengthen policy engagement, support business growth, and position biosolutions with policymakers and key stakeholders.
The role & your impact
In this six-month internship, you will gain valuable exposure to international public affairs, policy development, and stakeholder engagement. You will support the team in monitoring policy developments, creating communication tools, conducting research, and preparing insights for senior leaders across the organization.
Your key responsibilities in this role
- Monitor relevant policy developments and assess their potential impact on Novonesis.
- Support the creation and launch of public affairs tools, including policy position papers and toolkits.
- Draft policy briefs for Executive Management, Regional Vice Presidents, and Regional Heads of Public Affairs.
- Conduct stakeholder and policy landscape research.
- Help plan outreach activities targeting policymakers and policy influencers.
- Contribute to administrative and coordination tasks supporting the team's activities.
What you’ll need to be successful in this role
- Currently studying Political Science, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Enrolled in a university programme where the internship is ECTS credit-bearing as part of your degree; students writing their thesis alongside the internship are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to managing tasks and deadlines.
- A genuine interest in public affairs, policy developments, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are considered an advantage.
Additional skills & interests we value
Although not required, experience with public policy processes, government affairs, or policy analysis would be an advantage. We also value candidates who have experience conducting research, stakeholder mapping, or working with complex information. Additional language skills beyond English are welcomed, as is an interest in sustainability, biotechnology, science, or biosolutions. We appreciate individuals who bring a collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to their work.

Relevant information
This is a full-time internship based at our headquarters in Lyngby, Greater Copenhagen, with a duration of six months. The preferred start date is early February 2027, with the internship running until 31 July 2027.
