SUMMARY: Heritage Auctions is seeking an Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting our accounting team. This internship offers exposure to audit preparation, lease accounting, and financial reporting projects within an international auction house. The ideal candidate is pursuing an accounting degree and has completed at least two years of college coursework.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Gather, organize, and review supporting documentation for audits.

· Assist with special projects and day-to-day tasks assigned by the accounting team.

· Compile and organize vendor and payment information to support 1099 reporting.

· Assist with maintaining lease records and preparing supporting schedules in accordance with ASC 842 under the accounting team’s guidance.

· Support report development projects, including organizing data and validating report accuracy.

· Assist with accounting projects involving our international entities, as needed.

· Maintain accurate records and handle financial information confidentially

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

· Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting; completion of at least two years of college coursework preferred.

· Basic understanding of accounting principles.

· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

· Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

· Interest in financial reporting and data analysis; familiarity with Power BI is a plus but not required.


SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT

This is a 90-day internship with full-time or part-time scheduling options.
