Kickstart your career with a hands-on Human Resources Internship at Schneider Electric in Columbia, Missouri. This on-site opportunity offers valuable experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations while working alongside experienced HR professionals. Designed for students balancing academic commitments, this internship is part-time (17.5 hours per week) during the Spring 2027 semester, with the opportunity to transition to a full-time internship during Summer 2027.
What will you do?
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Assist with posting job openings and managing candidate applications
- Support resume reviews and interview scheduling
- Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Assist with onboarding activities, including orientation preparation and new hire documentation
HR Administration
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy
- Support HR reporting and documentation efforts
- Assist with scheduling meetings, training sessions, and team events
- Help maintain HR systems and databases under the guidance of the HR team
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Support employee engagement initiatives and events
- Assist with internal communications, including newsletters and announcements
- Help coordinate employee recognition programs and activities
Compliance & Policies
- Support HR compliance activities and audits
- Assist with updating HR policies, procedures, and templates
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive employee information
What qualifications will make you successful?
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship, campus leadership, volunteer, or work experience
- Experience coordinating projects, events, or team activities
- Familiarity with recruiting, onboarding, or employee engagement activities
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data organization, reporting, or analysis

- This is an on-site position based in Columbia, Missouri.
- Candidates must be located within commuting distance of the facility, as relocation assistance is not available for this role.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD $23.00 - $27.50 per hour. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
