Summer Intern - Supplier Quality Engineering

About the role:

As a Supplier Quality Engineering intern, you will perform multiple quality assurance tasks to ensure externally sourced products meet the quality and technical requirements defined by Westinghouse.

You will report to the Large Structures, SQO Manager and be located at our Cranberry, PA facility.This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support supplier quality evaluations for products and services used in the nuclear industry
• Help with supplier audits, assessments, and surveillance activities to verify compliance with quality and technical requirements
• Review supplier documentation, manufacturing processes, and quality records against engineering specifications and standards
• Help investigate supplier quality issues and support corrective and preventive action activities
• Analyze supplier quality data and performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Help prepare quality, compliance, and certification documentation
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Project teams to support supplier-related activities
• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, compliance, and process effectiveness
• Support verification of supplier quality management systems and regulatory compliance requirements

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Commitment to personal, industrial, and nuclear safety.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
