About This Job

The Commercial Lending Intern will support the lending operations of Axos Bank’s commercial banking division. Interns will gain exposure to the lifecycle of commercial loans, including underwriting, portfolio management, and originations. This role is ideal for individuals interested in commercial finance, client engagement, and strategic lending practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting and reviewing borrower documentation, preparing credit memos, and performing preliminary financial analysis.
  • Help monitor existing loan accounts, update client records, and track performance metrics.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients, input application data, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on lending strategy and client relationship management.
  • Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations to support lending decisions and internal reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
