JOB DETAILS:

  • Location: Austin, TX, USA
  • Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work from the Austin office (40 hours a week) throughout the duration of the Co-op/Intern term.
  • Duration: January 25, 2027 to August 13, 2027

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

We are seeking a highly motivated Undergrad Validation/Debug Co-Op to join us and help our Validation and Design team develop groundbreaking microprocessor products.

 

  • Develop debug tools to accelerate the analysis for complex issues.
  • Set up test environment and execute test cases
  • Utilize all manner of software and hardware tools to analyze, collect and verify the test result data
  • Work to streamline design validation process and debug to reduce the time to market.
  • Interact with customers while debugging and supporting issues.
  • Work on Post-Silicon platforms to shift left the validation for complex IPs.
  • Help to execute manual and automated test cases and triage any failures that may result.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • You are currently enrolled in a United States based University in a 3rd/4th year Undergrad program majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering
    • If you have knowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply
    • Proficiency in Python/Ruby/Bash scripting for creating and modifying automated tests
    • Hands-on experience or knowledge in hardware systems to effectively modify the hardware setup of full systems for A/B debug testing.
    • Skills in debugging and developing tools to accelerate the analysis of complex issues.
    • Familiarity with JTAG tools to analyze, collect, and verify data collected from hardware.
    • Strong communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders for support while debugging issues
    • Understanding and working knowledge of Windows troubleshooting tools and technique
    • Understanding and working knowledge of Linux environment
    • Ability to execute both manual and automated test cases and triage any resulting failures.
    • Ability to identify patterns in order to inform on test case planning
    • Test Hardware assembly.
    • OS and Software Stack deployment.
    • Test Case and Test Plan management.
    • Execution of automated and manual test cases.
    • Results triage.
