About The Company
EAGLES is a comprehensive transition program (CTP) for students with intellectual disabilities. The program provides a postsecondary education opportunity for students with intellectual disabilities to engage in a two or four-year campus experience. It is a non-degreed program focusing on (1) academic enrichment, (2) personal and social skills, (3) independence, (4) health and wellness, and (5) integrated work experiences. About the Role
Overview

The RFID Lab's Automation team is looking for a Student Engineer who will help support projects and conduct research through utilizing machine learning to run models, running experiments and RF simulations, designing robotics, creating demonstrations of our tech, and developing software and hardware solutions.


Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using appropriate tools and technologies, such as machine learning, scripting languages, or custom software applications. Conduct research and rigorous testing on cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. Create detailed documentation of automation processes, including design specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals.


Qualifications

  • Enrolled student at Auburn University
  • Majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with automation tools and platforms
  • Familiarity with process mapping and analysis

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Python, ROS2, ROS1, Ubuntu/Unix, C++, Boston Dynamics API, and a strong background in Machine Learning and Math.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, C, C++, Ubuntu/Unix)
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
