About The Company
Founded in 2013, Tenet3® set out to better secure cyber-physical systems by putting anti-tamper research into practice. To achieve this, we built MeTRA®, a knowledge management platform for teams to digitally capture, exchange and analyze system data. Over the course of our journey, we realized that the first principle for securing cyber-physical systems, “knowing what you have”, applied to many challenges in a wide range of use cases. Whether it is processes or personnel, critical infrastructure or structural tests, change management or cybersecurity, we can help you understand complex systems.
About the Role

Who We Are

Tenet3 is  knowledge modeling company undergoing growth due to an increasing amount of customer demand. We don’t just work on cutting-edge technology; we solve complex, high-impact problems that drive innovation and security. We specialize in developing advanced software that helps people think more effectively by using innovative visualizations, cutting-edge machine learning, and property graph analysis.

Why Work Here

This internship provides hands-on experience with the tools and mindsets used in modern digital engineering. You’ll gain visibility into real-world systems integration challenges and learn from a team committed to mentoring and innovation.

The Role

As an Intern Solutions Engineer at Tenet3, you’ll gain hands-on experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Python scripting, and digital modeling. You’ll work with a cross-disciplinary team to support the development of system models, technical documentation, and integration workflows for complex systems in aerospace and defense.

This internship is ideal for students interested in digital engineering and automation, and who are eager to apply classroom learning to impactful, real-world challenges. You’ll receive one-on-one mentorship, exposure to industry tools, and a front-row seat to the future of digital acquisition.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with system modeling using MBSE tools and templates
  • Draft and maintain internal documentation and diagrams
  • Learn and apply Python to automate basic modeling or data tasks
  • Participate in team standups and receive mentorship from senior engineers

Essential Job Duties

  • Modeling Support: Assist with creating and maintaining system models using MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw).
  • Python Scripting: Learn and apply Python to automate repetitive tasks, validate models, or support early data analysis.
  • Technical Documentation: Contribute to internal diagrams, model annotations, and structured technical documentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in agile ceremonies like standups, demos, and retrospectives; ask thoughtful questions and seek feedback.
  • Version Control & Traceability: Learn how models and data are tracked and structured using tools like GitLab.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Enrolled in a bachelor's program in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or a related STEM field.
  • GPA: Minimum 3.5
  • Programming Exposure: Basic familiarity with Python (coursework, personal projects, or research).
  • Tool Curiosity: Interest in learning MBSE tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or similar.
  • Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication; able to ask good questions, write clean documentation, and collaborate across teams.
  • Growth Mindset: Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn digital engineering workflows in a real-world context.
