Marketing Intern

Hourly Pay: $23.95/hour


Why This Role Matters

As a Marketing Intern with ITW Mechanical Fastening, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting product marketing initiatives that drive growth for category-leading construction brands. Working closely with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering teams, you'll help bring new products to market, analyze customer and market insights, support commercialization efforts, and contribute to strategic marketing initiatives that influence business results.


This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional marketing activities and gain exposure to product strategy, customer insights, portfolio management, and new product development while working on projects that directly support business growth.


What You'll Do

  • Support product marketing initiatives that strengthen brand performance and drive business growth.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and Voice of Customer activities to identify customer needs, market trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Analyze product portfolio data and identify opportunities to improve product offerings and support portfolio optimization decisions.
  • Assist with new product launches and commercialization activities, including market analysis, launch planning, and go-to-market execution.
  • Support digital marketing initiatives through website updates, email campaigns, marketing collateral, and content development.
  • Partner with Product Management, Sales, Engineering, and Marketing teams to support strategic projects and business initiatives.
  • Present accomplishments, insights, recommendations, and key learnings to division leadership at the conclusion of the internship.

What You Need to Succeed


Must-Have

  • Rising senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date no later than May 2028.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather, interpret, and communicate insights from data and research.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Marketing, Product Management, Sales, and Engineering teams.

Nice-to-Have

  • Prior internship, project, or coursework related to marketing, business, product management, market research, or analytics.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools, content management systems, or marketing analytics platforms.
  • Experience conducting research, analyzing data, or presenting recommendations.
  • Interest in product marketing, commercialization, customer insights, or product management.

Work Environment

This role is primarily based in our Glenview, Illinois office and may include visits to manufacturing facilities, customer locations, or field environments to support learning and project activities. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required when visiting manufacturing areas.


Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role may include moving throughout office, manufacturing, and field environments, along with occasional lifting of product samples or marketing materials. Compensation Information:

The hourly rate for this position is $23.95/hour.
