The Opportunity
As a Digital Assurance and Transparency Intern, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will support teams and participate in projects, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will perform basic tasks and conduct research while observing professional work environments, contributing to the team's success. As an Intern, you will adopt a learning mindset, taking ownership of your development while appreciating diverse perspectives and actively listening to feedback. You will gather information from various sources to analyze facts and discern patterns, committing to understanding how the business works and building commercial awareness.
Within our Assurance practice, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in auditing methodologies and compliance standards, contributing to the enhancement of financial reporting and decision-making processes. In this role, you will be encouraged to ask questions, take initiative, and produce quality work that adds value for clients and supports the team's objectives. Your time at the firm will be a stepping stone to establishing your personal brand, paving the way for future opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Supporting audit teams by participating in digital assurance projects and tasks
- Assisting in the application of auditing methodologies to enhance financial reporting processes
- Engaging in the evaluation of internal controls and IT governance to identify potential risks
- Contributing to the development and implementation of compliance and governance protocols
- Utilizing artificial intelligence platforms to support data analysis and decision-making
- Participating in process assurance activities to validate the effectiveness of operational procedures
- Collaborating with team members to enhance understanding of IT controls and risk identification
- Observing and learning from experienced auditors to gain insights into industry practices
- Applying intellectual curiosity to explore innovative solutions in digital assurance tasks
- Actively listening and accepting feedback to improve personal and professional development
What You Must Have
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Information Technology
- At least a 3.0 overall GPA
- Before starting full-time at PwC, meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment or the educational requirements for licensure as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Client service intern positions are considered entry-level roles. Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application
