Summary:

The purpose of the shipping intern is to gain applicable career experience in a growing organization. Throughout this internship, you will gain valuable aspects of logisitcs operations. Including shipping, receiving, and the accounting of all produced or ordered materials to or from StageRight. Verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties. Maintains the quality of the materials handled.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibilities listed below are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • Gain understanding of current Inventory Management system and help to improve the process.
  • Work with Shipping and Receiving team to improve Warehouse efficiency to include stocking strategy and organizing work and product flow.
  • Perform hands-on activities such as receiving, picking, loading, scheduling, and purchase order process.
  • Develop an understanding of the Supply Chain operations and how they collaborate with other departments.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver results with accuracy and urgency on multiple projects.
  • Providing solutions and efficiencies for real world problems within the manufacturing, sports and entertainment industry.

What you need:

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
  • Student involvement and/or work experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Can effectively handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Self-starter with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and superior problem-solving skills

Additional Job Information:

The environment is active and fast-paced, with fabrication and production operating throughout the day. Expect a mix of physical activity and equipment use, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts to move materials and keep operations flowing.
