About the Role
Overview

Auburn University’s Advancement Office is currently providing a full-time paid summer internship for Summer 2027! Auburn Advancement encourages students from all backgrounds to examine different careers in the nonprofit sector, promote the advancement of Auburn University through fundraising programming, and engage with employees, alumni, and donors.

Auburn Advancement will provide interns with 10 weeks of work experience, from May 12- July 30. Internships are open to rising sophomores through May 2027 graduates from Auburn University and Auburn University Montgomery. Interns will earn $14.00/hour and will have an unpaid vacation week from June 28-July 2. Auburn University will also be closed on May 31st and June 19th.

Responsibilities

Interns will immerse themselves in the dynamic world of Advancement events and experiences, gaining hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of event planning and execution. Working closely with the Advancement Events & Experiences (E&E) team, interns will assist in planning, preparing and delivering impactful experiences that engage alumni, donors, and campus partners. From creative planning sessions to on-site logistics, interns will play a key role in bringing events to life.

Weekly educational sessions will be provided by subject-matter experts to enrich overall knowledge and experience with all areas of the Advancement industry. At the end of the internship, all interns are expected to prepare a final presentation highlighting their experiences and projects during their time in the program.

Housing and benefits are not available through the internship program and interns must live within driving distance of Auburn University.
