About The Company
Founded in 1965 in Sweden, EF (Education First) is a global association of education companies that share a common mission of opening the world through education. Some companies are in the business of banking. Others are in the business of shoes. Or sports. Or soft drinks. At EF, we're in a different kind of business. One that's a little less tangible, and a lot more important. Because our business, what we make, makes everything else possible. We're in the business of understanding. Between people. Between cultures. For over half a century we’ve been the leader in international educational programs and experiences designed to foster such understanding. Through language, cultural exchange, academic studies, and educational travel, we create the kinds of immersive experiences that challenge biases, open minds, and pave the way for a more understanding world. You’ll find our offices and schools located in some of the world’s greatest cities, and filled with smart, driven people (over 50,000 of us) who push each other to be better every day. But it’s what we do together - building greater understanding, breaking down barriers, and creating a better world - that makes all the difference. About the role

As an Operations Intern, you'll rotate across our core departments, Accommodation, Student Services, Activities and Academics, gaining hands-on experience in how an international language school operates. The exact focus and duties will depend on your skills, interests and the needs of the school at the time, but you'll always be working closely with staff who can mentor and guide you.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants broad exposure to school operations, enjoys working with people from all over the world, and is comfortable moving between tasks and departments.

Responsibilities can include

Accommodation

  • Supporting homestay and residence check-ins and check-outs
  • Helping conduct room checks and house visits, updating records
  • Assisting with host or student communications and basic conflict resolution

Student Services

  • Helping maintain student records and administrative processes
  • Assisting with orientation for new arrivals

Activities

  • Helping plan, promote and run the student activities program (social events, excursions, outings)
  • Supporting on-the-day logistics — set up, supervision, pack down
  • Promoting activities and engagement among students

Academics

  • Providing general administrative support to the academic team
  • Assisting with classroom or resource preparation
  • Supporting academic events such as testing days, graduations or workshops

Requirements you bring

  • Independent, adaptable and comfortable moving between different tasks and teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills and enjoyment of working with a diverse range of people
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Fluent in English
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends if required
  • Must already be in Australia

To help us understand your fit, please answer the following in your application, along with a brief summary about you, your motivation and fit for the role:

  • Which of the four areas above (Accommodation, Student Services, Activities, Academics) interests you most, and why?
  • What are your potential start and finish work dates?
  • Do you have any relevant experience (studies, previous roles, volunteering) that connects to this role?
