About the Role

Structural Engineering Intern

Overview:
Becker Morgan Group is seeking a talented and driven Structural Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students currently pursuing a degree in Structural or Civil Engineering to gain hands-on experience in the design and analysis of structural systems. Interns will work closely with licensed engineers and project teams on a variety of projects across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the analysis and design of structural systems, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Prepare structural drawings and construction documents using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools.
  • Perform calculations to ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications.
  • Support field inspections, including documentation of existing structures and ongoing construction.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to develop innovative solutions for clients.
  • Conduct research on materials, methods, and industry trends to support design development.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Structural or Civil Engineering degree program.
  • Basic knowledge of structural engineering principles, building systems, and design standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration.
  • A self-motivated attitude and commitment to learning.
  • Valid Driver’s license
