Forestry Industry Placement Year

Nicholsons is looking for a Forester to join us for an industry placement year from September 2027 - August 2028.

Join a growing forestry team working across woodland creation, management and estate projects. You'll gain hands-on experience in all aspects of modern forestry, from planting and establishment through to woodland management, harvesting and conservation. 

What you'll do:
 - Assist with woodland creation and management projects
 - Support forestry operations on estates and commercial woodlands
 - Carry out surveys, inspections and data collection
 - Work with experienced foresters and land managers
 - Develop practical and technical forestry skills

What we're looking for:
 - A placement year student studying Forestry, Arboriculture or a related subject
 - A passion for the natural environment
 - Practical, proactive and willing to learn
 - Strong communication and organisational skills

This position is a 12-month industry placement, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) 7:30am – 4:30pm, from our Oxfordshire site in North Aston.
