About the Role

Learning begins in the classroom, but there is no better place to gain real-world experience than with Stantec. Co-op students and interns are integral members of our teams, helping solve complex engineering challenges while developing practical technical and professional skills.

The Stantec Internship Program provides students with valuable hands-on experience by working alongside experienced engineers, geoscientists, and technical specialists on projects in the mining, water-retaining infrastructure, and natural resource sectors. Through active involvement in project-related tasks and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, interns gain practical exposure to engineering consulting, develop technical and professional skills, and learn how academic concepts are applied in real-world projects.

The program also offers opportunities to build industry relationships, gain insight into project delivery and business operations, and develop a strong foundation for future career opportunities within Stantec.
