About the Role

As an Engineering Intern you will spend your summer gaining hands-on experience alongside the professionals who plan, manage, and build critical transportation infrastructure.

You’ll see firsthand how engineering plans become infrastructure and gain valuable experience that can help prepare you for a career in the rail and construction industry.

  • Support real-world rail and transit construction projects
  • Gain field experience and see how rail infrastructure is built
  • Work alongside project engineers, field engineers, superintendents, and project managers
  • Review construction drawings, plans, specifications, and project documentation
  • Assist with RFIs, submittals, quantity tracking, schedules, and project controls
  • Participate in jobsite walks and observe construction activities firsthand
  • Learn how safety and quality are incorporated into daily project operations
  • Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, craft professionals, and other project partners
  • Help project teams solve real-world construction and engineering challenges
  • Support project planning, reporting, coordination, and documentation
