About the Role

The intern will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, assist in evaluating suppliers, analyze purchasing data, and support cost reduction and productivity initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational procurement, negotiation, analytical, and supply chain management skills while contributing to business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support supplier sourcing and qualification activities. 
  • Support cost savings projects 
  • Conduct spend, market, and pricing analysis. 
  • Assist with RFQs, bids, and supplier evaluations. 
  • Help create and track purchase orders and sourcing projects. 
  • Maintain procurement and supplier data in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.). 
  • Support negotiations through data gathering and benchmarking. 
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, and other stakeholders. 
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and savings tracking metrics. 
  • Assist with supplier performance and risk management activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. 
  • Interest in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management. 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills. 

  • Experience with SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or other procurement tools is a plus
    • Knowledge of purchasing systems
    • Strong communication skills and a team player
    • Good organizational - ability to prioritize and do problem solving 
    • Any other language is a plus
