About the Role

Join Synapxe as an intern and see how you can contribute in powering a healthier Singapore. Internship@Synapxe is where curiosity meets impact! You would be able to gain practical experience, hone your skills, and be part of meaningful work that improves health through technology!

 

Join our Infrastructure team and gain hands-on experience in enterprise network operations, network security, and infrastructure management within Singapore's public healthcare ecosystem. You will work alongside network engineers to support network monitoring, access control, firewall management, and network transformation initiatives.
 
 
The selected intern(s) will assist in the following:
 
1. Network Management & Operations
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of network devices into Network Management Systems (NMS)
  • Assist in network topology mapping and network path monitoring activities
  • Support network asset inventory management and repository maintenance
  • Contribute to audit, compliance, and process documentation updates
 
2. Network Security & Access Control
  • Participate in Proof-of-Concept (POC) activities involving wired and wireless device onboarding
  • Support testing and implementation of network access control technologies such as 802.1X, MAB, and EAP-TLS
  • Assist in authentication and authorization initiatives using PKI certificates
  • Gain exposure to network security protocols including EAP, RADIUS, and 802.1X
 
3. Infrastructure Projects & Firewall Management
  • Support project coordination activities for Internet Browsing Zone initiatives
  • Assist in firewall administration, including subnet management and firewall rule reviews
  • Participate in infrastructure improvement and service enhancement initiatives

 

About You:

 

  • Final-year diploma student pursuing Networking, Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or related disciplines
  • Keen interest in network infrastructure, network security, and cloud technologies
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, switching, or network security principles
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, network monitoring tools, or cybersecurity concepts is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
