About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and curious Electronics Engineering Intern to join our R&D Sustaining Engineering team. This role offers hands-on experience in re-designing, testing, and optimizing electronic systems for current and next-generation medical devices. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers on projects that blend technical challenges with real-world impact, gaining valuable skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct alternative component testing, validation of prototypes, analyzing performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: software, mechanical, and regulatory.
  • Support troubleshooting and debugging of hardware issues using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
  • Assist in the re-design and development of electronic circuits and systems for medical devices, including schematic capture, PCB layout, identifying alternates for end-of-life components, obsolescence or logistical constraints.
  • Contribute to documentation, including design specifications, test reports and reviews.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and propose innovative solutions to enhance device functionality, yield improvements, or reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit design, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB CAD tools for circuit design and simulation.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, signal generators) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Interest in medical device development and a passion for improving healthcare technology.

What We Offer:

  • Meaningful projects that directly contribute to the development of life-changing medical devices.
  • Mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to the full product development lifecycle.
  • A collaborative, inclusive work environment that values creativity and innovation.
  • Opportunities to develop technical skills and gain insights into regulatory and compliance processes.

The hourly pay for this role is $30. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting

Join our winning team today. Together, we’ll accelerate the real-life impact of tomorrow’s science and technology. We partner with customers across the globe to help them solve their most complex challenges, architecting solutions that bring the power of science to life.
