About the mission we offer you:

Numerous spreadsheets, often created in Excel, are used to perform the sizing or verification of manufacturing processes required for engineering studies. Within the Industrial Processes department, these studies are intended for projects in the fields of life sciences, hydrometallurgy, and chemistry.

Spreadsheets are important tools for process engineers: they enable sizing calculations to be performed using standardized methods, ensure the reliability of results, and save time during the design phases. Proficiency with spreadsheets ensures the robustness of calculations, the traceability of assumptions, control over changes, and a user-friendly interface. Over the years, it has become necessary to review certain spreadsheets to update them and ensure they meet current needs.

The internship will take place within this context and will aim to contribute to the optimization and security of sizing spreadsheets. To this end, the spreadsheets will be reviewed in accordance with the internal spreadsheet security procedure: the intern will verify the presence of an instructions page or operating procedures, the protection of cells and formulas, measures to prevent unauthorized changes, the clarity of input and output data, and the overall user-friendliness of the files.

Once this update work is complete, the intern will help improve the system by adding additional features and will propose the implementation of a “toolkit” for engineers; these activities will be defined at the start of the internship based on the priorities at that time.
The internship will take place within the life sciences team of the Industrial Processes Department at the Technip Energie center in Paris.

•    Be proficient in Excel and VBA.
•    Be fluent in English.
•    Be curious, meticulous, and have a strong ability to synthesize information.

•    Be proactive and take the initiative; adapt easily to your work environment; and be a good team player.

Profile: Internship for students in their third or fourth year of college (during an engineering or master’s program) in Process Engineering. INSA, ENSIC Nancy, UTC Compiègne, ENSIACET, CPE, or equivalent.

During this internship, you will be supported by a mentor who will answer any questions you may have. This internship will be an opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge regarding current industry challenges.
