About the Role

MOL MSc Dual Study Programme at the University of Miskolc 2026

MSc in Petroleum Engineering, English-language programme/ MSc in Petroleum Geoengineering, English-language programme

As one of Hungary’s largest companies, we are committed to supporting high-quality, practice-oriented science and engineering programmes that provide students seeking careers in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries with internationally competitive knowledge and skills.

As a student graduating from the dual MSc in Petroleum Engineering, English-language programme or MSc in Petroleum Geoengineering, English-language programme you will spend a significant part of your studies at MOL sites, where our highly experienced colleagues will act as mentors and help you acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required in the industry.

The refining sector is undergoing a major transformation, with innovative developments being launched in the fields of the circular economy and renewable energy sources, including green hydrogen. At MOL, you can also gain unique knowledge and experience in these emerging areas.

In addition, we offer opportunities for professional internships as well as for preparing your thesis and dissertation projects. This gives you the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of cutting-edge technologies and innovative developments.

We welcome applicants to the MSc dual study programme in the following two fields:

  • MSc in Petroleum Engineering, English-language programme
  • MSc in Petroleum Geoengineering, English-language programme

Apply for MOL’s dual study programme! Application deadline: Monday, 23 November 2026

Do you know what a petroleum engineer does on a daily basis? Do you know what a “decade” means in the industry? Have you ever visited a drilling rig or seen exploration and production activities in real life? If not, but you would like to gain professional experience, we can support you in doing so.

The practical component of the dual study programme will take place at our Budapest headquarters and/or at our regional sites (e.g. Algyő), allowing you to gain first-hand insight into exploration and production processes.

Our aim with this programme is to enable you to learn from real-life examples as part of your profession-specific education and acquire up-to-date professional competencies through both field and office work. As your knowledge and professional experience grow, so will the remuneration package we provide: the statutory allowance will be increased every semester, and you will also receive an annual cafeteria benefit allowance.

As part of the dual study programme, you will have the opportunity to work on specific practical assignments and develop your ability to work independently through project-based tasks. You will also gain insight into our corporate culture and regularly have the opportunity to present the knowledge and experience you have acquired to the management of MOL Hungary Exploration & Production.
