About The Company
Our firm was founded in 1930 in the wake of the Roaring Twenties. In response to the speculative excesses of that era, our founders believed clients’ interests would be best served by a focused, long-term, valuation-aware investment strategy offered at reasonable and transparent fees. That belief is as strong today as it’s ever been. We’re now one of the world’s largest independently owned investment firms. We manage money for individuals and institutions globally with a single, value-oriented investment philosophy applied across a focused set of offerings. Our focus means we put more resources behind fewer strategies, more passion behind fewer priorities, and more confidence behind every decision. Dodge & Cox is built on a bedrock of independent ownership, integrity, and client alignment—so we can serve our clients not just for decades, but for generations.
