Manage the organizations’ online communication channels, respond to member inquiries, and support the Brussels office staff with lobbying and article writing. Attend and report on relevant European Parliament and business association meetings, while monitoring EU decision-making and developments relevant to Dutch businesses.

About The Company
The Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (known as VNO-NCW) is the largest employers'​ organisation in the Netherlands. VNO-NCW represents the common interests of Dutch business, both at home and abroad and provides a variety of services for its members. Over 160 (branch) associations are members, representing more than 185.000 enterprises. They cover almost all sectors of the economy, including more than 80% of all medium-sized companies in the Netherlands and nearly all of the larger, corporate institutions.VNO-NCW represents the interests of Dutch business and industry and provides a range of services to its members. VNO-NCW strives to represent its members'​ interests by promoting a high quality business environment and investment climate in the Netherlands, with a view to boosting the competitiveness of Dutch industry. VNO-NCW's involvement extends to matters relating to education, infrastructure, public finances, taxation, the environment and social security. VNO-NCW's role in representing its members is reflected in its active ongoing contacts with the government, politicians, public authorities, trade unions and non-governmental bodies. As such VNO-NCW helps to define the socio-economic climate in the Netherlands; it also contributes to the drafting of new laws and regulations and has a say in government decisions which may affect the business sector. As the voice of Dutch business, VNO-NCW sits on numerous government advisory and consultative committees. The most important of these are the Social and Economic Council (SER), one of the Dutch government's key advisory panels, and the Labour Foundation, the official central consultative forum for employers'​ and trade union representatives. VNO-NCW also consults with the government regularly on behalf of Dutch industry.
About the Role

Heb jij interesse in politiek, maatschappij en de Europese Unie? Ben jij een enthousiaste student mét ondernemersmentaliteit? Dan zijn wij op zoek naar jou!

Europa staat in de schijnwerpers. Beleid wordt in toenemende mate bepaald in Brussel en de Europese Commissie legt in haar agenda voor de komende jaren de nadruk op concurrentievermogen en weerbaarheid. De daaruit voortvloeiende uitdagingen op het gebied van energie, inflatie en de toeleverantieketens zijn onverminderd relevant. Voor ondernemers en bedrijven is het dan ook essentieel om in Brussel hun belangen duidelijk te maken.

Wie zijn wij?

VNO-NCW en MKB-Nederland zijn de grootste ondernemingsorganisaties van Nederland. Samen komen wij op voor de belangen van onze leden, zo’n 300.000 bedrijven in Nederland. Wij maken ons hard voor een kansrijk ondernemersklimaat, zowel nationaal als internationaal.

Om de belangen van het Nederlandse bedrijfsleven in de Europese Unie te behartigen hebben VNO-NCW en MKB-Nederland een gezamenlijk kantoor in Brussel. Van daaruit lopen onze lijnen naar o.a. de Europese Commissie, het Europees Parlement, de Nederlandse Permanente Vertegenwoordiging bij de EU, collega-werkgeversorganisaties uit Europa, de Europese koepels van werkgeversorganisaties zoals BusinessEurope, SMEunited en EuroCommerce, en veel van onze leden.

Wat ga jij doen?

· Beheren van de (online) communicatiekanalen van VNO-NCW en MKB-Nederland

· Beantwoorden van informatieverzoeken van leden

· Ondersteunen van de stafleden van kantoor Brussel (o.a. bijstaan in de lobby, schrijven van artikelen)

· Bijwonen en verslagleggen van (commissie)vergaderingen van het Europees Parlement, BusinessEurope, SMEunited en EuroCommerce, en andere relevante bijeenkomsten

· Monitoren van de besluitvormingsprocedures van de EU en het screenen van de Europese actualiteiten op de voor het Nederlands bedrijfsleven relevante punten

Wie ben jij?

Wij zoeken een enthousiaste en gemotiveerde student (derde jaar bachelor of master) die tijdens de gehele stageperiode ingeschreven staat bij een Nederlandse onderwijsinstelling. Affiniteit en/of ervaring met (online) communicatie en het organiseren van evenementen is een pluspunt. Affiniteit met, en kennis van de Europese Unie en/of het Nederlands bedrijfsleven zijn absoluut een pré. Uitstekende kennis van Nederlands en Engels in woord en geschrift is een voorwaarde.

Praktische informatie

Kantoor Brussel zoekt een enthousiaste en gedreven stagiair(e) voor de periode van 1 februari t/m 30 juli 2027. Voor deze stage bieden wij een passende stagevergoeding. De standplaats voor de stage is Brussel.
