About the Role

About GenMD

GenMD is a Stanford spin-off building AI and data infrastructure for healthcare. We grew out of years of work inside Stanford Medicine, alongside world-class researchers and clinicians, and we now work with health systems and data partners on large longitudinal datasets: claims, health records, imaging and clinical notes. We make that data usable for researchers and frontier AI, while patient privacy stays protected.

We're just coming out of stealth, already revenue-generating and well funded. We're intentionally small, move fast, and are focused on building something fundamental. Our CEO is a former Associate Director of AI at Stanford Medicine. See how we work: https://genmd.ai/careers

About the role

Work directly with the founders on the commercial side of GenMD: how health systems and data providers partner with us, how researchers and AI teams buy access, and how we grow Healthcare Datahub. This is a high-ownership role with real deliverables, not a research report that sits on a shelf.

What you'll work on

  • Go-to-market strategy for one of our three audiences: health systems and data providers, academic researchers, or frontier AI teams.

  • Pricing and packaging for data access and data partnerships.

  • Market and competitor analysis that feeds directly into the product and sales roadmap.

  • Partnership pipeline: prospect, prepare materials and join partner and customer conversations.

What we're looking for

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA or similar graduate business program.

  • Prior experience in strategy, consulting, business development, product or healthcare.

  • Strong analytical and written communication skills; comfortable with ambiguity.

  • Interest in healthcare, data and AI; experience with health systems, payers or life sciences is a plus.

Logistics

  • Part-time during the term or full-time over summer; flexible start date.

Compensation

$40 – $55 per hour.
