Job Description

ABOUT THE TEAM:
We are part of Western Digital, focusing on product management of hard drive components, specifically magnetic heads.
Our team supports:

  • New Product Introduction (NPI), from development to mass production.
  • Sustaining Program Management (sPM), focused on improving and maintaining mature products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support project tracking and coordination for product development, new product introduction, and mass production related activities.
2. Assist in organizing project documents, preparing meeting notes, and following up on action items.
3. Collect, consolidate, and summarize product test data and manufacturing related data.
4. Perform basic data analysis and visualization using Excel or similar tools to support quality and process review.
5. Support yield and quality analysis, identify trends, and assist in preparing summary reports.
6. Help document and track product related issues, including test anomalies and execution gaps.
7. Participate in problem solving discussions and support root cause analysis activities under the guidance of senior team members.
8. Collaborate with cross functional teams such as engineering, manufacturing, and program management to support daily project excution.
9. Gain exposure to the full product lifecycle, from development to production and sustaining support.

Qualifications

1. Undergraduates of bachelor’s or master’s degree student in Engineering or other related majors.
2. Basic proficiency in Excel, including data handling, charting, and simple analysis.
3. Strong willingness to learn, good sense of responsibility, and a proactive working attitude.
4. Good communication and teamwork skills.
5. Good English communication skills. CET-4 or above is preferred.
6. Exposure to Python or other data analysis tools is a plus.
